Method
- Place 1 cup mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl.
- Add 3 tablespoons ketchup and whisk until the mixture turns a pale peach color.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish until evenly distributed.
- Pour in 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard; whisk to combine.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; whisk until smooth.
- If desired, sprinkle in a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat and stir well.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with extra vinegar or relish if needed, then transfer sauce to an airtight container.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld, or serve immediately on burgers, fries, or sandwiches.
Notes
Keep the sauce refrigerated in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Flavors deepen overnight, making it even tastier the next day.
