- If using fresh peaches, wash them thoroughly and cut out the pit, leaving the skin on for maximum flavor. Blend the peach chunks until completely smooth, creating a puree.
- Pour a shallow dish of Tajin seasoning or coarse salt onto a plate. Rub the rim of your margarita glass lightly with a lime wedge, then dip it into the seasoning at a slight angle.
- Add a handful of large ice cubes to a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.
- Pour 1.5 ounces of silver tequila into the shaker using a jigger.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the shaker until you have 1 ounce.
- Add 1 ounce of your freshly blended peach puree to the shaker, followed by 0.5 ounce of Cointreau or triple sec. If you have fresh peach juice, add the optional 0.5 ounce.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty.
- Place your rimmed margarita glass on the counter and strain the shaken mixture into it using a Hawthorne strainer.
- Garnish with a fresh peach slice and a lime wheel.
