  • 8 pieces of Obsidian blocks
  • 1 piece of Ender Eye

Equipment

  • Crafting Table
  • Pickaxe (diamond or better recommended)
  • Access to the End dimension

Method
 

  1. Mine obsidian from the Nether where lava meets water, or create it by pouring water on lava sources.
  2. Hunt Endermen in the Overworld at night or in the End dimension to collect Ender Pearls.
  3. Travel to a Nether Fortress and defeat Blazes to collect Blaze Powder.
  4. Open your crafting table and place one Ender Pearl in the center, surrounded by eight Blaze Powder.
  5. Open your crafting table and place obsidian blocks in all nine slots except the center square.
  6. Click on the center slot of your crafting grid and place the Ender Eye there.
  7. Click and drag the completed ender chest from the output slot into your inventory.
  8. Find a safe location and place your ender chest by right-clicking on a block surface.

Notes

Always keep at least one ender chest in the Nether and another in the End for easy access.
