Ingredients

Corn Ribs
  • 4 ears fresh corn husked and cleaned
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • Fresh chives or parsley for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Sharp chef's knife or corn cutter
  • Cutting board
  • Air fryer
  • Small bowl
  • Paper towels
  • Tongs or spatula
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Shuck the corn and remove all silk. Rinse and pat dry.
  2. Stand each ear upright on a cutting board and carefully slice lengthwise through the center, then slice each half again to make four long quarters per ear.
  3. Pat the cut corn ribs thoroughly with paper towels to remove surface moisture.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
  5. Brush the butter mixture generously over all sides of the corn ribs.
  6. Sprinkle grated parmesan evenly over the coated corn ribs.
  7. Place corn ribs in a single layer, kernel side up, in the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until kernels are golden brown and edges are slightly charred.
  9. Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired, and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For oven baking, place seasoned corn ribs on a preheated baking sheet at 425°F (218°C) and bake for 18–20 minutes, turning once halfway through.
