Main
  • 1/4 cup 60 ml whole milk, chilled
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey vanilla syrup, or preferred sweetener (optional)
  • 1 pinch vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • Handheld milk frother or electric whisk
  • Small glass or metal bowl (microwave-safe if using microwave method)
  • Measuring cup or scale for milk
  • Spoon for scooping foam
  • Small pitcher (optional, for easier pouring)
  • Microwave or stovetop (for warming milk)

Method

  1. Chill your milk in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Measure 1/4 cup (60 ml) of chilled milk.
  3. If using sweetener, add 1/2 teaspoon to the milk.
  4. Insert your milk frother or whisk into the bowl, positioning it near the surface of the milk.
  5. Turn on your frother to low speed and hold it steady just below the surface of the milk.
  6. Froth for about 30 to 45 seconds until the milk roughly doubles in volume.
  7. Drop the frother slightly deeper into the milk and reduce speed to low for another 15 to 20 seconds.
  8. Turn off your frother and check the foam consistency.
  9. Let the foam rest for 10 seconds.
  10. Pour your cold coffee into a tall glass and scoop the foam onto the top.
